Kalafrana Ceramics Sydney import an extensive range of Patterned Black and White tiles from Spain. Inspiration is drawn from Hamptons style, Moroccan, Modern Vintage Country Farmhouse, Checkered floors, Mediterranean, Retro Style, Coastal and Traditional Heritage English designs to name a few.

Our range makes a cost effective and hardwearing alternative to traditional Encaustic tiles. Glazed tiles require no sealing or maintenance without additional laying costs. Also shown here are images of our Softer Grey and Vintage Inspired tiles.

A point of difference with European tiles is that they never apply a pure black and pure white together. This creates a very harsh contrast making the pattern extremely graphic. All our Spanish manufacturers soften this combination by introducing subtle warmth in the black or by cooling / warming the white to reduce the extreme contrast. Most importantly misalignment of patterns when laid is not an issue.
