Frequently Asked Questions About our Spanish Patterned Tiles

Where can I buy encaustic look tiles in Sydney?

Kalafrana Ceramics is a specialist supplier of Spanish porcelain pattern tiles in Sydney, based at our showroom in Leichhardt, NSW. We import heritage and encaustic look designs, along with retro, Mediterranean, Moroccan and terrazzo styles, including soft grey heritage patterns such as KC848.

Why do we only sell Spanish patterned tiles?

True authenticity comes from the quality of the material and the precision of the design. When replicating the character and beauty of heritage and handmade tiles, every detail matters — from the depth of colour to the variation and texture of the surface. We invite you to compare the options available, then visit our showroom to see and feel the difference exceptional quality makes.

Is KC848 suitable for bathroom floors?

Yes. KC848 is a Spanish porcelain floor and wall tile suitable for many internal floor applications including bathrooms, ensuites, laundries, kitchens and hallways. It has a matt finish and an R10 slip rating, and can also be used in undercover outdoor areas such as covered patios, porches and alfresco spaces. Porcelain tiles provide excellent durability and require minimal maintenance.

Does KC848 require sealing?

No sealing is required. KC848 is an encaustic look tile design in glazed and fired porcelain, making it a practical alternative to natural stone or handmade encaustic tiles, which require ongoing sealing and maintenance.

Can KC848 be used as a feature tile?

Yes. The soft grey heritage pattern of KC848 works well as a bathroom feature floor, a hallway runner or a feature wall, wherever a classic heritage character is wanted without a strong colour.

What design styles suit KC848?

KC848 suits heritage, Federation-era and classic interiors, and its soft grey tones also sit comfortably in modern renovations. It works especially well in heritage bathrooms, ensuites, entryways and kitchens, giving the look of an encaustic tile without the sealing.

What size is KC848 and how do I get a price?

KC848 has a nominal 223mm x 223mm individual tile size, supplied 13 pieces per box (0.65 sqm per box). Pricing is available on request — contact us with your approximate square metres for a quote. Delivery is available and is quoted based on your delivery area, the quantity ordered and pallet size.

Where can I view KC848 tiles in person?

You can view KC848 and all our other Spanish patterned tile collections at the Kalafrana Ceramics showroom in Leichhardt. The showroom displays all the European floor and wall tile designs we import exclusively.
