Frequently Asked Questions About our Spanish Patterned Tiles

Where can I buy tessellated tiles in Sydney?

Kalafrana Ceramics is a specialist supplier of Spanish pattern tiles in Sydney, based at our showroom in Leichhardt, NSW. We import heritage and tessellated look tiles, along with retro, Mediterranean, Moroccan and terrazzo styles, including classic tessellated designs such as KC968.

Why do we only sell Spanish patterned tiles?

True authenticity comes from the quality of the material and the precision of the design. When replicating the character and beauty of traditional tessellated and handmade tiles, every detail matters — from the depth of colour to the variation and texture of the surface. We invite you to compare the options available, then visit our showroom to see and feel the difference exceptional quality makes.

Is KC968 suitable for bathroom floors?

Yes. KC968 is a Spanish ceramic floor and wall tile suitable for many internal floor applications including bathrooms, ensuites, powder rooms, laundries, kitchens, hallways and entries, and has an R10 slip rating. It can also be used in undercover outdoor areas such as covered verandahs, porches and patios. It is durable and easy to maintain.

Does KC968 require sealing?

No sealing is required. KC968 is a fired Spanish ceramic tile, making it a practical alternative to natural stone or handmade encaustic tiles, which require ongoing sealing and maintenance.

Can KC968 be used as a feature tile?

Yes. KC968 recreates the look of a traditional tessellated floor, ideal for hallways, entries and bathrooms in Federation, Victorian and Californian Bungalow homes. The 330mm scored format makes it far quicker to lay than individual tessellated pieces.

What design styles suit KC968?

KC968 brings a classic heritage character to Australian homes. It suits period renovations of Federation, Victorian and Californian Bungalow homes, and pairs naturally with white walls, subway wall tiles, natural timber and traditional tapware.

What size is KC968 and how do I get a price?

KC968 has a nominal 165mm x 165mm pattern increment on a 330mm scored tile, supplied 10 pieces per box (1.09 sqm per box). Pricing is available on request — contact us with your approximate square metres for a quote. Delivery is available and is quoted based on your delivery area, the quantity ordered and pallet size.

Where can I view KC968 tiles in person?

You can view KC968 and all our other Spanish patterned tile collections at the Kalafrana Ceramics showroom in Leichhardt. The showroom displays all the European floor and wall tile designs we import exclusively.
